Times have changed since Bill Reed - founder of Bill's Roofing & Painting and dad to current owner Jeff - began growing his business out of the back of a pickup truck back in the 1970's. Back then, Bill carried supplies to the roof by hand and applied them with good 'ol hammer and nails; today, the supply house loads the shingles on the roof and Jeff uses nail guns and can be seen driving one of his three hydraulic-lift dump trucks to efficiently carry away old materials. What hasn't changed is the way the family does business. Here's a message from Jeff:

Bill's Roofing & Painting has been servicing the Jefferson City area for more than 45 years. When my dad Bill started this business it was a different time. Dad worked hard and he slowly built a business that was respected enough that he got all his work by word of mouth. His goal was to do quality work and make enough money to support his family.

The times have changed, but it is still my goal to up hold the respectable reputation that it took my dad more than 25 years to earn. It matters to me that people are pleased with not only the quality of work they receive from my company, but also the honesty and courtesy that they experienced while doing business with us.

I have six children and this business is how I feed my family, so rest assured it is important to me to keep my customers satisfied. We've been around this long we are not going anywhere. Clients need to know that if they need you later, after they have their roof or siding replaced, that they can get a hold of you. Quality work has been a tradition at Bill's Roofing & Painting and that's the way I plan to keep it.
